Dedicated virtualisation environments
Clusters designed for a defined customer environment, with compute, storage, networking and management boundaries matched to the workload.
GeoFlexCloud by connectionpoint
GeoFlexCloud is connectionpoint’s platform brand for organisations that need dedicated virtualisation, a managed application platform or a customer-specific private cloud. We design the architecture, agree the operating scope and remain responsible for support and change coordination.
A customer may need separation from shared infrastructure, particular storage or network behaviour, controlled data location, or a team to operate more than the hypervisor. We start with those requirements instead of forcing the workload into a fixed catalogue.
Clusters designed for a defined customer environment, with compute, storage, networking and management boundaries matched to the workload.
Infrastructure and operational components for applications that span several systems and require coordinated changes, monitoring and maintenance.
Physical systems or mixed environments where dedicated resources, hardware characteristics or licensing requirements make them appropriate.
The final architecture is confirmed after technical assessment. GeoFlexCloud does not imply one fixed stack or location.
Virtual machines, container platforms and orchestration selected for the application and operating model.
Capacity, performance, replication and failure behaviour designed around measured or stated requirements.
Segmentation, firewalls, load balancing, addressing and connectivity designed together with the platform.
Open technologies are used where they provide a maintainable fit, without turning the platform into an unsupported collection of tools.
Dedicated or customer-specific collaboration environments where a standard hosted service does not meet the requirement.
GPU-backed infrastructure can be assessed for suitable workloads. Hardware, availability and operating scope are confirmed per project.
A platform is useful only when responsibilities are clear after launch. We define what connectionpoint operates, what the customer or application owner controls and how changes are tested and released.
Workload, data location, dependencies, access, security needs and existing operational responsibilities.
Platform components, connectivity, migration sequence, testing, acceptance and rollback planning.
Updates, monitoring, incident handling, backups where agreed, application boundaries and customer contacts.
Capacity, software, network and application changes are coordinated through a known technical team.
Platforms can be designed for selected Swiss or European locations, subject to technical and commercial availability. Data location, access paths, network dependencies and recovery design are discussed before a location is selected.
The team working on the platform understands virtualisation, systems, storage and networks. Customers have a technical contact who can coordinate across these layers.
Business Internet, Layer 2, BGP transit, datacenter connectivity, Field Services and Managed IT are available through connectionpoint when they form part of the wider customer environment.
